At the beginning of the clip of "The Whitest Kids You Know" 5 middle age men are posing as a teacher and 4th graders. They use comedy to reflect how they perceive what american schools and youth are like in today's society. Running with many stereotypes they feel like it is somewhat true and will make viewers laugh. At the start of the episode the teacher infers that the students are not smart. She then pokes fun and makes a game out of seeing which students mom just died. The students become immediately frightened and proceed to guess with the students. While guessing which student mom had died the teacher reply's to all of the statements with violent and unhealthy remarks for example "no she drank herself to death last week". Once the particular student finds out that his mom died he goes on a rampage. The student goes and drinks alcohol with chocolate syrup and starts to rebel  with only an excuse that his parents have died. When asked to critically analyze this video. I have come to realize the main actors or doing what they perceive as what is cool and funny. I thought that the their title "the whitest kids you know" is stereotypically fit for them for they fear black people and disagree with what they do. Also, as a positive note i feel like this video demonstrates that american children are suffering more and more from depression in households due to domestic violence. Because of this nature society has taken in cause and affects of depression with the american society.

  1. I have seen this show before, and the few that I did see was off the wall and seemed to try to "shock" the audience with its content. To me this is very similar to south park or family guy as far as the topics covered. Crude and harsh humor grabs the attention of viewers in a way to create comedies. The underlying topics covered when boiled down are real issues, however in these have been made to comical situations for entertainment.
